CrowdSnapper is work of passion for live events and photography.
Based in Borås, Sweden, I've been documenting shows to a varying degree since the late 2000s, primarily in my home town and neighbouring, larger city; Gothenburg. I mostly consume rock-adjacent music in my ordinary life, but am no stranger to checking out and shooting shows of other genres. Apart from a photographer, I'm also a hobby guitarist and music nerd who also run a rock-centric music blog on the side.
Like a lot of people interested in photography and live music I started out as a crowd photographer, shooting mainly public/free shows, and other events where cameras aren't frownded upon. This helped getting a healthy amount of material for a website, and thus CrowdSnapper project was born. CrowdSnapper has since opened a lot of doors – in the most literal sense the ones leading to the photo pit, which obviously helped taking the photography to a whole new level!
The name CrowdSnapper remains, because in the crowd is where it all started. Not only that, it also has a nicer ring to it than PitSnapper.
