On two consecutive nights this August, Miriam Bryant proved why she belongs among Sweden’s most beloved artists. Selling out Liseberg’s Main Stage not once but twice, she delivered memorable performances blending fresh tracks, timeless hits, and special guest appearances.

Miriam Bryant at Liseberg – A Sold-Out Summer Celebration

There are only a handful of Swedish artists who can sell out Liseberg’s Main Stage two nights in a row. Håkan Hellström, Kent, and Laleh comes to my mind – and, of course, Gothenburg’s own Miriam Bryant.

From Indie Darling to Pop Powerhouse

Much like Miss Li, whom CrowdSnapper covered at the park earlier this summer, Bryant has taken a musical journey from English-language indie pop – with hits like Push Play and Black Car – to beloved, radio-friendly Swedish anthems such as Regnblöta skor and Tystnar i luren. Along the way, she passed through the TV show Så mycket bättre, scoring major hits with covers like Lisa Nilsson’s Allt jag behöver and Sven-Bertil Taube’s Ett sista glas. Her long list of collaborations ranges from Hooja to Markus Krunegård and Veronica Maggio.

Liseberg Falls for Miriam Again

The last time she performed at Liseberg was in 2022, and tickets sold out before I had the chance to grab one. When this year’s show was announced for August 13, history repeated itself – the gig sold out instantly, prompting an extra date the following evening. CrowdSnapper secured accreditation for that second night.

Since her last visit on the main stage of Liseberg, Bryant has not only strengthened her bond with Swedish fans but also drawn international attention. Earlier this year, she delivered an acclaimed performance of Queen’s The Show Must Go On at the 2025 Polar Music Prize, earning heartfelt praise from Queen guitarist Brian May. That performance can be watched further down in this article. But international acclaim aside, it was once again at Liseberg where Bryant faced one of her most devoted crowds.

The Difficult “Day After” Show

The night before, on the 13th of August, Bryant had been joined on stage by Victor Leksell for their smash hit Tystnar i luren and was honoured with Liseberg’s annual Lisebergsapplåden award. But would the “day after” show have the same energy? Arriving two hours before the start, I found dedicated fans already filling the front rows. The stage area still bore traces of the previous night’s black confetti – a party aftermath if there ever was one.

Any suspicion of a toned-down performance vanished as soon as Bryant hit the stage. This was no hangover show; she delivered with full force, backed by a lively band and an audience ready to sing – and dance – along. Her outfit was a departure from the all-black look of the night before: a blue-and-white top straight out of Gothenburg tradition, oversized shorts, and enormous, colourful moon boots that looked ready for an Arctic expedition.

Warming up the Crowd with a Dance-off

Like the night before, the set kicked off with Nothing 4-ever from the latest album Okej att dö. Bryant and her fans seemed to have a very specific dance for this song, and it was a joy to watch the front row – dominated by young women – moving in perfect sync with their idol.

Surprise Guest Vocals from Sarah Klang

Although Victor Leksell didn’t appear this time, the night had its own special guest – Sarah Klang – who joined Bryant for a heartfelt rendition of Blåmärkshårt, a clear highlight for those lucky enough to witness it. I didn’t, so I unfortunately have no pictures of her.

In total, Bryant performed an impressive 25 songs, including all 12 tracks from her latest album Okej att dö. While some fans might hesitate at so many new songs in one set, I’m sure this album’s strength made it an absolute treat. For newcomers, it served as a perfect live introduction; for longtime fans, it proved that Bryant’s current creative chapter is one of her strongest yet.

Large Live Band

Along with her, Bryant also brought a large band of musicians along, including two guitarists, bass, drums, keys, and backing singers.

Pop Magic, Gothenburg Style – Full Setlist Below

Even though my own time at the show was brief, leaving shortly after my time in the photo pit, it was clear from Liseberg’s social media clips that Miriam Bryant isn’t just playing concerts. She’s creating events that sell out, bring people together, and celebrate Swedish pop at its finest. If you get the chance, don’t hesitate to see her live.
